Akhanda Yoga is a lighthearted and holistic practice which may challenge you, but you will always find balance with the calming start and finish to the class. This practice improves our sleep, lifts our mood and helps us to feel whole again. The word Akhanda is actually Sanskrit for words like ‘whole, unbroken and indivisible’ It puts you back together again! It empowers you and reminds you that everything is fine just the way it is.
I am currently holding two classes per week which are both suitable for beginners. Both classes are ran in 5 week courses and you can see a list below of when each 5 week course starts. Spaces are limited in both classes so it is advised to book your 5 week course in advance to avoid disappointment. Also, you are welcome to book an individual class if there is space.
The benefits of taking a 5 week course…
Every 5 weeks I start a new theme for the classes. I weave yoga philosophy into each of my classes, giving you ‘food for thought’ and sometimes suggestions to observe and practice throughout the week until we meet again on our mats the following week.
When you all start together as a group and stay together in that group throughout the whole course, I have noticed that you all progress in your practice much faster. It’s not a race, but it is good to make the most of our time spent together.
I would highly recommend committing to the whole course unless you know of a holiday during that time, in that case you are welcome to book individual classes, however, I cannot guarantee that there will be space for this because course bookings come first.
3 days before the course starts you can see if there are any spaces for individual bookings available, and of course you are always welcome to book the whole course even if you are going to miss some classes (to ensure you don’t miss out on 5 weeks!)
