A sanctuary to rest, recharge and restore your whole self on Sunday evenings in Narborough ♥

WHAT’S INCLUDED
– Sound bath with Gong, Singing Bowl and Chimes
– Simple yoga stretches

The evening starts with some yoga poses as I play the Gong to aid the process of melting your body into the stretches and lead you into savasana, followed by traditional yogic meditation for 30 minutes and yoga nidra (yogic sleeping, the ultimate re-charger) with singing bowls and chimes.

Yoga nidra is a guided relaxation/meditation which is done lying down, there is no movement involved, you simply rest and receive the words being spoken that guide you into a place of deep restoration for the mind, body and whole self.

2 hours of space for you to drop into deep relaxation and experience ‘pratyahara’ (withdrawal of the senses). Yoga has the potential to still the mind and pratyahara is an experience which leads to meditation which leads to ‘samadhi’ (bliss)

We are thrilled to hold this special event on the day of the Equinox combining yoga and sound to cleanse your mind, body and soul.

YOGA JOURNEY

I will be guiding a 90 minute holistic yoga class suitable for all abilities.

SOUND JOURNEY

Priyesh will take you on a journey with sacred sound to cleanse all 7 chakras and beyond. This is a profound experience of resting in bliss.

It can take a while to come back to Earth after going so deep, so we will share fruits and talk a little at the end of the session to ensure that you are well grounded in your body and ready to go onto your next place feeling revitalised and centred.

There is an integration that takes place after a sound journey so I recommend you take the whole day for self care, drink plenty of water and stay in the peacefulness that has been culitivated for as long as you can. Minimise your screen time and talking with others (as much as you can) This experience can be deeply introspective or it can recharge you so much that you want to sing and dance and share your joy with the world! Whatever your mood, honour it and let it be.

The 7 Chakras

Muladhara (root chakra) is located at the base of the spine, associated with our fundamental needs for survival, safety and security. When this chakra is balanced we feel strong, secure and grounded.

Swadisthana (sacral chakra) is located just above the root chakra in the lower back and associated with our creativity, sexuality and emotions. When this chakra is balanced we move forward in life gracefully and respectfully with confidence in our individuality, thus feeling balanced in our emotional self.

Manipura (solar plexus chakra) is located just below the rib cage, at the navel, associated with our personal power, energy and confidence. When this chakra is balanced we feel energised and confident in our ability to create the life we desire.

Anaharta (heart chakra) is located in the centre of the chest, associated with our ability to feel unconditional love; to forgive and to trust. When this chakra is balanced we become expansive, filled with joy and love for ourselves and others. It facilitates a great sense of gratitude for life.

Visshudha (throat chakra) is located in the centre of the throat, associated with expression and truthfulness. When this chakra is balanced we confidently speak our truth in a kind and compassionate way.

Ajna (mind’s eye chakra) is located in the centre of the brain’s two hemispheres and is associated with our sixth sense, ability to see, feel, hear and know the truth. When this chakra is balanced we have a strong sense of intuition, we feel focused and calm.

Sahasrara (crown chakra) is located at the crown of the head, associated with our wisdom, higher consciousness and connection to the universe. When this chakra is balanced we feel energised with a sense of freedom, we have clarity and peace of mind.

 

 

Meditation and Yoga Nidra

 

A traditional yogic meditation followed by yoga nidra to go deeper into the blissful state of awareness. Yoga nidra is an ancient tantric technique for deep restfulness, it does not involve any movement. You will simply lay down and be guided through the practice in a cosy space with bolsters, blankets and eye pillows. Bring your favourite pillow or cushion for extra comfort. There will be time for tea and sweet treats to come back to the senses feeling nourished and blissfully human again.

MEDITATION can be experienced once moving through the layers of the mind by using techniques that concentrate the mind on a single object. In this meditation you will be guided through layers of practice to access the inner stillness that lies within.

YOGA NIDRA is an ancient tantric technique for deep restoration and the potential to experience resting in the witness consciousness.

What Is A

Chakra?

A Chakra is created when energy channels meet at a junction point which creates a whirling effect. Chakra is Sanskrit for disk or wheel. A Chakra is a spinning wheel of energy. Energy channels carry signals around the body. If there is a blockage in a channel then signals are not able to travel freely, causing a disruption in the flow of the energetic system. We can become ‘off balance’ feeling strongly tipped in one direction or the other. Cleansing and re-balancing our Chakras will help to bring us back to equilibrium (optimum balance and harmony)

Muladhara

The Root Chakra

Connects to our sense of groundedness as well as instincts of survival. When off balance it can make us feel low energy, alienated from ourselves and others, and easily angered. When in balance, it makes us feel secure, stable, safe, loved, balanced, healthy and energised. 

Anaharta

The Heart Centre

Connects us to our emotional self, bringing harmony, forgiveness, sincerity and love. When off balance it can lead to over-loving, jealousy, abandonment, righteousness, fear, anger, judgement, lonliness and bitterness. When in balance we feel joy, love, gratitude, compassion, connection with others and a healthy balance of giving and receiving. 

Swadhisthana

The Sacral Chakra

Connects to our creativity, feelings, emotional and sexual wellbeing. When off balance we may feel guilt, jealousy, possessiveness, and shame of our body/sexuality. When in balance this chakra brings us grace, flexibility, depth of feeling, sexual fulfilment, creativity, openness and respect for self and others. 

Visshudha

The Throat Chakra

Connects us to our expressive self, truthfulness, speech and conscious communication. When off balance there can be issues of self expression, fear of lacking power or control, not ‘speaking up’ and feeling suppressed. When in balance we can openly and confidently express our truth without worrying what other people think. 

Sahasrara

The Crown Chakra

Connects us to our higher consciousness and wisdom. When off balance there may be depression, an inability to learn, rigid thoughts, confusion and a feeling of isolation, lonliness and separation. When in balance we live in the present moment, feel free, energised, aligned, and have a strong trust in our inner guidance.

Manipura

The Solar Plexus

Connects to our confidence, ego, personal power, will and autonomy. When off balance it can threaten our self esteem, create confusion and depression. When in balance it can bring us happiness, vitality, harmony, easy manifestation, protection and the feeling of being comfortable with oneself and others.

Ajna

The Third Eye Chakra

Connects us to our cosmic insight, innate powers of intuition, the ability to see and feel the truth. When off balance there may be moodiness, daydreaming and distrust. When in balance we feel open and focused, a deep spiritual connection, strong morality, and can easily determine between truth and illusion.
