Akhanda Yin Yoga

A gentle practice of surrender into resting and receiving

Akhanda Yin Yoga

Akhanda Yin Yoga is a gentle and slow paced movement practice in which we settle into a position and hold for 3-5 minutes with deepening awareness on the breath and sensations in the body. As we bring our attention to the body and breath whilst being in a receptive state of surrender, the mind begins to settle. Our intention with this practice is to soften the tissue, release the gripping hold that we unconsciously have on our bodies. As we drop into the practice we begin to unravel hidden tension in the body and mind, which leads to an increase in flow of energy and emotion. We remain a witness to the surrendering of the body and mind/emotions as we gently remind ourselves to just be, to be with the breath and the observation of the body softening.
The deeper we surrender the more we can receive. We become an empty vessel to receive the blessings of yoga (which is union with the Divine)

Yoga = Union with the Divine.

We are able to contain more of the light, power and brilliance of the divine qualities when we create space in the mind, body and breath.

This is the power of surrender.

Akhanda Yoga teaches us that we have subtler layers to our being than just the physical body. We have a physical layer, an emotional/energetic layer, a mental layer, a wisdom layer and a blissful layer. Akhanda Yoga allows us to access Anandamaya Kosha (the blissful layer) repeatedly, and when we do this regularly it has profound positive impact on the lives of our self, our family, friends, community, world and beyond.

Akhanda Yoga gives us tools to go beyond the mind, through various concentrative techniques and channelling energy up through the spine to attain Divine Union/Oneness/Yoga.

My aim is to guide you back to your blissful layer of self again and again, whilst teaching you how to attain and maintain it for yourself.
The bliss layer is a powerful healer, and when we rest in our bliss – we heal our whole self and others on a deep and profound level.
